When you combine the two, you can make long-form articles that are not only well-written but will also avoid being identified as AI generated by Google.
One of the best things about this combination is that you can make high-quality content quickly and easily.
With ChatGPT you type in a question, and the model will come up with an answer based on how well it understands the subject, language and the situation. This means that you can use ChatGPT to write the first draught of an article, and then you can use QuillBot to enhance the text to read a lot better.
How to use ChatGPT and QuillBot together
To use ChatGPT and QuillBot together, you first start with ChatGPT.
This is a completely flexible process. You can type your prompt into ChatGPT as a simple sentence or as complicated full outline of the article you want to produce. Once you type in your question, ChatGPT will give you a response based on whatever you have asked it to do.
The next step is to copy the text that ChatGPT gives you and paste it into QuillBot.
QuillBot will look at the text and suggest ways to make it easier to read, more interesting, and more coherent. You get to chose the style of writing that QuillBot will produce, such as expansive, creative, simple or summarised. You can then apply further changes to sentence structure, word choice, and the way the text is put together as a whole to give it your own authentic tone of voice.
After making the changes suggested, you look over the final text to make sure it meets your standards. If you need to, you can make more changes or put the text back into Hemingway to make it even better.
ChatGPT will produce content based on the whatever criteria you give it. For example:
"Write a 500 word article about how to use ChatGPT and QuillBot together to create long form articles about industry specific subjects."
ChatGPT will take this instruction and produce a 500 word article for you. The article will be coherent and perfectly fine to publish as is. Except that Google can identify the ChatGPT article as AI generated, which means that it will down grade the content in SEO.
This is where QuillBot comes in.
QuillBot is a versatile tool that can rewrite text using synonym suggestions to help you expand your vocabulary and avoid repetition. It is also a great tool avoiding plagiarism and for changing the entire tone of an article, for example, from Simple to Complex, from Formal to Creative.
To take the process further, a tool like Hemingway will review the output of your QuillBot text and identify further areas for improvement to improve it's readability. I use Hemingway sparingly, because I want to protect my own ton of voice and style of writing, which may not always be perfectly correct, but it is a style that can be identified "as me."
The point is that together, these three apps allow you to generate unique and individualised content significantly quicker than using the conventional copywriting methods of researching and storyboarding.
WORD OF CAUTION: ChatGPT, or any of the alternative generative AI products on the market are only as good as the data they have been trained on. For example, ChatGPT is based on GPT-3, which was trained on generally available data, such as wikipedia, up until the end of 2021. Which means that if you asked ChatGPT who owns Twitter, it will not recognise Elon Musk.
Equally, if the information you require is not in Wikipedia, ChatGPT won't know about it. To test this I asked ChatGPT about "Rick Huckstep" (that's me). ChatGPT had no knowledge of me because I am not in Wikipedia. The fact that I have over 100,000 followers across social media, have published 100's of articles online in my name and I generally appear multiple times on the first page of any search for that name, has no bearing on the ChatGPT response.

When you use ChatGPT and QuillBot together, one of the best things is that you can make long-form articles that are specific to certain industries. By typing in questions about your business, ChatGPT can give you answers that are relevant and helpful. Then, QuillBot can be used to make sure the text is clear and easy to read.

Instead of spending hours researching and writing an article from scratch, you can use ChatGPT and QuillBot to make a rough draught in just a few minutes.
